Can you believe we only have one more week left of the 2021-22 school year? As we close out the school year, we want to take a moment to thank all of our parents, teachers, and volunteers for an amazing year. We didn't know how the school year looked when we started in August, but it was great to all be back together in January. Because of this community's fundraising and volunteer efforts, we were able to offer an action-packed year filled with many exciting events. As you reflect on this past year, please know that you made a difference and you were a big part in making this year a great and memorable year. We look forward to working with you to make next year another unforgettable year. This will be our last PTA newsletter until we return and resume in August for the 2022-23 school year. Until then, please have a happy and safe summer!

Save the date for our last Liscano Spirit Day for the 2021-22 school year!

Kona Ice is coming to the Liscano parking lot afterschool on Wednesday, May 18, from 3-4pm. Shaved ice will be available for purchase between $4-7.

Congratulations, Jannie Tong

Congratulations to our PTA Lifetime Member, Jannie Tong! She was awarded her pin, certificate, flowers, and will be celebrated at the Honorary Lifetime Awards banquet this week.

We got SPIRIT yes we do. Don't forget to order your t-shirts, hoodies or dry-fit shirts for parents, siblings, grandparents or anyone else who would like to help show their school spirit. April & May PTA Highlights

A heartfelt thanks to all of our PTA members who have volunteered this past month for numerous events! We would not be able to provide the experiences to our teachers, staff, and students without your support.

Chalking the Sidewalk

Thank you to all the Liscano families who spent a Sunday afternoon chalking the sidewalk for our teachers and staff! There were some wonderful messages and drawings that we hope brightened teachers' and staffs' day!

Donuts & Coffee Bar

We kicked off Teacher Appreciation Week with a donut and coffee bar this week! Thank you to the local Dunkin' donuts coffee company on Preston Road for donating the coffee so that our teachers and staff could enjoy a coffee break.

Creative Door Decorations

We have some talented parents! Thank you to all the parents and families that spent time decorating teacher and staff doors for Teacher Appreciation Week! We hope these decorated doors brought joy to those entering the classroom this week.

Lunch is served!

Thank you to our hard-working Liscano kitchen staff who were able to enjoy lunch during Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week also!

Learning a New Fitness Activity

Students learned a new fitness activity or dance move led by fitness instructor Mikkie Applegarth during Healthy Lifestyles Week.

Teachers and staff were treated to a healthy lunch from Market Street during Healthy Lifestyles Week.

Spirit Night at Spring Creek BBQ

Thank you Ms. LeDoux and Ms. Bingaman for supporting Liscano Spirit Night by serving hot, fresh bread in the Spring Creek dining room!

Bike & Roll to School Day

Rufus, the City of Frisco’s environmental mascot, joined us on campus May 4 to greet bicyclists and walkers for National Bike & Roll to School Day! Rufus is pictured here with our PTA volunteers Brandi Norton and Patricia Borges.

Liscano Spirit Days & Nights!

Thank you for continuing to support Liscano Spirit Days and Nights at local community restaurants. These school fundraisers strengthen the bonds between schools, families, and the community, all while bringing in essential funds to help supplement the school's budget for things like enrichment programs and hospitality events to support our wonderful teachers, staff and students.
